Nevenka Žegarac je redovna profesorka i rukovoditeljka Master studija Socijalni rad, na Odeljenju za socijalnu politiku i socijalni rad Fakulteta političkih nauka Univerziteta u Beogradu. Predaje socijalni rad sa decom i mladima, socijalni rad sa pojedincem, vođenje slučaja i kvalitativne pristupe u istraživanjima. Trenutno vodi projekat "Ko-kreacija znanja i izgradnja ekspertize za zaštitu dece pogođene prisilnim migracijama - razvoj kurikuluma" koji ima za cilj da unapredi kapacitete studenata i profesionalaca koji rade sa decom pogođenom migracijama.

Professor Zegarac has more than 20 years of experience of consultancy in West Balkan region with a number of governments, and international organisations such as UNICEF, Save the Children, Terre de Homes, IOM, UNDP and ILO. Her areas of interests include case management, child abuse and neglect, child trafficking, children affected by forced migration, children on alternative care, child labour, family support, child’s participation and professional development of social service workforce. She is the author of six, editor of seven and co-author of ten social work books, more than thirty chapters in monographs and handbooks, and more than twenty articles published in peer reviewed journals.
