Sanja Polić enrolled the Faculty of Political Science – Department of Social Policy and Social Work in 2010. Four years later, she graduated from the Faculty as the best student in her class. In 2016 she graduated from the Master academic studies – major: social work and in 2018 she enrolled PhD studies of the Faculty of Political Science – course social policy and social work.  Currently she is engaged at the Faculty of Political Science as a junior researcher.

During her PhD studies Sanja’s main scope of work has been the development of professional competencies of professional workforce within social welfare for family support. The most important fields of her work are: professional development of workforce in social welfare, with the view to organizing and providing quality support and service to users from sensible groups and families in risk including users from migrant population. She is interested in the areas of social work application, especially family support, area of systematic approach in social work, as well as improvement of social workers practice and education in the Republic of Serbia. She has been involved in various researches on different topics such as: development of curriculum for the protection of children affected by migration, positive parenting, social welfare services for children with disabilities, for children in conflict with the law, support to endangered families, for migrant/refugee children in extreme risk.
